Ireland play India in the second T20 International on Tuesday, June 28 at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin from 9:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).  

Ireland will come into the second and final T20 international on the back of a seven-wicket defeat against the Indian cricket team in the first game of the series.

In the rain-curtailed first match, Ireland put up a competitive 108/4 in 12 overs, which  India chased down with 2.4 overs to spare, thanks to captain Hardik Pandya’s late blitzkrieg. 

Harry Tector was the standout performer with an unbeaten 33-ball 64 for Ireland. With the ball, Craig Young bagged 2/18 in his two overs to stand out for the home team.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, meanwhile, was instrumental in restricting the Irish batters as he scalped 3/11 in his three overs. With the bat, Deepak Hooda anchored the Indian innings with an unbeaten 29-ball 47. Ishan Kishan gave an explosive start to his innings with an 11-ball 26 and captain Hardik Pandya’s 12-ball 24 helped India seal a comfortable win.

Umran Malik made his international debut in the game but made an unimpressive start to his career. He bowled a solitary over and leaked 14 runs.
