ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022: Scotland vs West Indies predictions, cricket betting tips and odds

Scotland play West Indies in the  ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart. The match starts at 9:30 AM IST (Indian Standard Time).

The Scottish cricket team has played only two T20Is post the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup. They lost both games to New Zealand by huge margins. The Scotts are in Group B and will play West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe.

The Scotts will face a strong challenge from all three sides and are one of the weaker teams in the tournament. However, the Scottish side did beat the Netherlands by 18 runs in their only warm-up game and are very much capable of upstaging a big opponent on a given day.

Meanwhile, the West Indian Cricket team is one of the most dangerous sides in T20 cricket and is the only team to win the T20 world cup twice – in 2012 and 2016. That said, their recent record has been poor. West Indies lost 2-0 to Australia in their most recent T20 series. Before losing to Australia, the Men in Maroon lost 2-1 to New Zealand in a three-match T20 series.

The Windies have named a young squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup and Nicholas Pooran will be seen leading them. Despite their rich history in this format, the West Indies team will have to play round one of the tournament to qualify for the Super 10 stage.
